Combining their love of handcrafted products with their dedication to community and cottage industry, they began Mad Hatter's as their answer to what they saw as the loss of soul in our modern enterprises. Amid the noise that has become our society's lives, they have created a quiet oasis where they can do what they love and provide a product they believe in.

About Candice

Candice became interested in ceramics after taking a pottery class at a local college. She fell in love with the tactile quality of "playing in the mud" and soon set up a home studio. Soy candles became a secondary passion after receiving one as a gift. After researching soy candles vs. the paraffin ones commonly found, the choice was a natural one. She began combining her love of pottery and her passion for candles. Adding handcrafted soap dishes to her repertiore, she joined Michael in the quest to produce natural, sustainable products as our forefathers did.

About Michael

Michael's interest in soap making was sparked by a trip to the New Jersey shore where he stopped in a local soap shop and became hooked. Researching and devoloping the current recipe over years, he has created a simple, healthy, ultra-moisturizing blend with subtle fragrances, no dyes, and absolutely no gimmicks. People keep coming back to his pure, simple soaps after trying all the trends.
